Financial & Pricing Analyst

Basic Purpose

This position is responsible for developing pricing and sales analyses, administering price catalog updates related to material costs and economics, maintaining competitive pricing information, maintaining system pricing for all customers and responding to customer RFQs.  Additionally, this role will provide customer profitability reviews by P/N.

 

Principal Accountabilities

  1. Develop and implement periodic price changes, including administering price file updates for numerous customers.
  2. Ensure prices have been loaded correctly in Plex with no mistakes.
  3. Weekly review of the PO vs Catalog report to proactively address any pricing conflict.
  4. Work with billing system management to ensure timely and accurate loading of customer pricing into Accuride ERP.
  5. Lead the development of revised pricing structure to provide better compatibility with new ERP system.
  6. Prepare price quotations accurately and quickly for the sales force as required.
  7. Develop and track periodic sales promotions.
  8. Review any pricing discrepancies and provide necessary back-up to the Credit/Accounting department.
  9. Document pricing levels and sales margins for key products, segments and customers for use in quick decision-making and analysis.
  10. Assist proactively to identify and develop opportunities to maximize price, enhance margin, and improve the overall profitability of Accuride.
  11. Prepare product line analysis by researching, tracking, integrating, and reporting sales activity, market trends, and market penetration.
  12. Track competitive price movements and comparisons on a routine basis.
  13. Assist in development of pricing for new products and for other business case support.
  14. Assist in the development of product, pricing, industry, and other ad hoc analysis/reports.
  15. Lead or support the quarterly customer profitability review.

 

Required Skills, Education, and Experience 

  • B.S. in Business, Finance, or Economics (or other related field)
  • Strong communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • Strong organizational skills
  • High attention to detail
  • Experience working in a team environment
  • Experience with Microsoft applications including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills (experience with Macros preferred)
  • Demonstrated analytical and critical-thinking skills
  • Ability to creatively think through complex situations
  • Ability to multi-task effectively while complying with tight time demands and shifting priorities
  • Working experience with SAP, PLEX or other ERP systems preferred
