Supply Chain Manager

Basic Purpose
This position has the following responsibilities: implement effective procurement, logistics inventory management, and production scheduling processes for the assigned facility. The Supply Chain Manager acts as a conduit between corporate and the operations facility to implement inventory management and purchasing programs. Work with Corporate and with operations personnel to implement the facility’s role in the broader business strategy to achieve financial goals including negotiations for and management of raw material, scrap material, direct material components and indirect material, including MRO. Work with the Scheduler and Directors of Inventory Control and Logistics & Distribution to optimize build plan and design and improve distribution lanes for freight and cargo related processes for inbound and outbound. Accountability to achieve on-time customer and supplier deliveries, inventory levels of raw material, WIP and finished goods and plan levels, and supplier quality (PPM) performance. Assure the uninterrupted availability of goods and services and freight movement throughout the business cycle to assure our competitive position in the marketplace. Implement programs and manage projects to achieve continuous improvement cost savings initiatives. Plan and programs must be strategically, operationally, and tactically aligned with business drivers, performance objectives and change management initiatives. Ensure customer on-time deliveries to reach financial forecasts.

Principal Accountabilities
1.Supply Chain lead and plant representative on production planning, materials management, commodity strategies, distribution, and key strategic initiatives and projects.
2.Develop Supply Chain team objectives to reach planning budget; hold team accountable to corporate objectives.
3.Accountable for all supply chain activities including purchasing, logistics, inventory planning and control, shipping, receiving and MRO stores.
4.Utilize Lean Manufacturing concepts to maintain optimum inventory levels, improve product flow and reduce Work In Process (WIP).
5.Responsible for Continuous Improvement Supply Chain initiatives and support required by plant Quality, Lean and CI Manager.
6.Negotiate and execute corporate and local Supply Agreements. Analyze the local commodities market and delivery conditions in order to make the most cost-effective raw material purchasing commitments.
7.Oversee the inventory and storage of raw materials and supplies ensuring PFEP is completed. Balance inventory/purchases with demand requirements to reach inventory objectives for both days on hand and customer on time delivery.
8.Ensures purchased raw materials and supplies meet or exceed Company quality specifications and standards.
9.Reviews and updates contracts to ensure best negotiated cost possible and compliance with Company policies and standards.
10.Manage product delivery and supplier quality for optimal operational performance and cost effectiveness.
11.Develop and implement programs for cost effective purchasing of energy and take measures to ensure necessary supplies of energy are available for continued support of facilities.
12.Develop, implement, and maintain departmental training programs, work instructions, and procedures to ensure compliance with Company policies and objectives.
13.Maintain a safe and healthy workplace by assuring compliance with all Safety Health & Environmental company policies and procedures.
14.Accountable for maintaining a positive customer relationship by ensuring 100% on-time delivery. Ensure optimal plant scheduling to maximize operational performance while balancing customer demand.
15.Responsible for the development and maintenance of the IATF 16949 and ISO14001 systems for Supply Chain processes in the plant.
16.Participate in Accuride Corporate initiatives to implement enterprise-wide commodity strategies and process improvement initiatives.

Required Skills, Education, and Experience
•Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field required.
•CPIM, CPSM, or similar professional certification preferred.
•Minimum of 7 years of progressive supply chain experience in a manufacturing environment with expertise in procurement, materials management, inventory control, logistics, production scheduling, and supplier management.
•Proven leadership ability to drive results through others, establish accountability, influence cross-functional teams, and lead organizational change that improves productivity, safety, quality, delivery, and cost performance.
•Demonstrated success leading complex projects and cross-functional initiatives that deliver measurable business results, including cost savings, inventory optimization, process improvements, and operational excellence.
•Strong business and financial acumen with a solid understanding of budgeting, cost management, inventory valuation, key performance metrics, and P&L impact.
•Excellent analytical, planning, organizational, negotiation, problem-solving, and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
•Broad understanding of manufacturing business processes, supply chain operations, and enterprise information needs; experience with ERP systems required or strongly preferred.
•Thorough knowledge of logistics, materials flow, U.S. Customs compliance, and C-TPAT regulations.
•Experience with Lean Manufacturing, continuous improvement methodologies, and process flow optimization, with the ability to identify and implement improvement opportunities.
•Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with employees, suppliers, customers, and senior leadership.
•High-energy, hands-on leader with a strong sense of urgency, comfortable working on the manufacturing floor and directly engaging with operational teams to solve problems and achieve results.
•Demonstrated learning agility, adaptability, and proven success working collaboratively in a team-oriented environment while maintaining a strong focus on execution and accountability.
•Excellent personal computer skills required, with proficiency in Microsoft applications.
