Position Title: Accounting Assistant II – A/R & Payroll

Position Overview:
Process payroll for hourly, non-bargaining U.S. sites. Act as primary backup for all U.S. payrolls. Post customer/miscellaneous cash and manual A/R adjustments for U.S. Wheels and Wheel Ends.

Position Requirements:

Required Skills, Education, and Experience

  • Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
  • Two to three years of experience in accounting and/or payroll required
  • Proficiency with Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Analytical
  • Organized
  • Team player
  • Maintains confidentiality
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to identify process improvement opportunities
  • Energetic, creative and thorough with a bias towards action and results

Principal Accountabilities

  1. Process hourly payroll for U.S. non-bargaining plants
  2. Review automated journal entries for all payrolls processed at corporate
  3. Update payroll system for items that impact income and taxes such as gift cards and relocation assistance reimbursement
  4. Reconcile uniform deductions for Henderson
  5. Primary backup for all U.S. payrolls and union hourly
  6. Reconcile payroll accounts and make adjusting entries as needed
  7. Maintaining account posting rules in Workday
  8. Post all customer and miscellaneous cash in Plex sub-ledger
  9. Post manual A/R adjustments such as write offs and inter-company transfers
  10. Balance cash daily
  11. Confirm inter-company transactions with plants in Mexico
  12. Assist with auditor requests
