Logistics Coordinator

Basic Purpose

Plan shipments in conjunction with planning and purchasing departments within Accuride Supply Chain. Monitor progress of international shipments via ocean, air, rail and truck. Prepare documents. Ensure on time delivery.


Principal Accountabilities

  • Oversee shipment & delivery of Intermodal Ocean Container shipments
  • Ensure Vendor shipping documentation accuracy
  • Process inventory receipt confirmation, allocation to shipments
  • Manage import clearance customs requirements
  • Coordinate local drayage moves of container to destination
  • Communicate with warehouse staff and Inside Sales on estimated delivery times and misc. shipment updates
  • Process vendor invoices and coordinate payments with Accuride AP department
  • Create reports on shipment updates and shipping metrics for internal & external customers


Required Skills, Education, and Experience

  • 4 year degree in supply chain, international logistics
  • 3+ years experience in international logistics
  • Working knowledge of ERP and shipment tracking software
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
