IT Systems/Co-op

Basic Purpose

Work independently and with senior IT analysts to enhance business analytics and integration systems, and to provide low-tier support for various enterprise applications and IT infrastructure.


Principal Accountabilities

  1. Contribute to the implementation and continuous improvement of ERP software, analytics platforms, and other business applications.
  2. Partner with other analysts and business users to automate recurring business tasks using modern technologies.
  3. Participate in development of system integrations and web applications using .NET, JavaScript, Electron, and low-code development platforms.
  4. Create and maintain data sources using SQL, PowerQuery, or low-code data pipelines.
  5. Create and maintain reports and dashboards using PowerBI, Prism, Excel, and other BI systems.
  6. Help create automated unit tests for business intelligence tools and system integrations.
  7. Regularly partner with the support center to provide basic, on-demand IT support (computer, printer, software, etc.) during times of low support coverage.
  8. Create data-flows diagrams, work instructions, etc. to document Accuride’s various IT systems.
  9. Assist with user questions and issues related to business applications (Office, Workday, Plex, SAP, etc.)
  10. Monitor IT support ticket patterns and propose solutions to minimize recurring issues.


Required Skills, Education, and Experience

  • Full time enrollment in a B.S. program majoring in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with one or more of the following: object-oriented programming languages (C#, Python, etc.), modern web components (JavaScript, .NET, Angular/React), and/or reporting tools (SQL, PowerBI, Tableau, etc.)
  • Ideal candidate will have strong personal interest in development, system design, and/or data architecture.
  • Strong ability to multi-task, prioritize simultaneous tasks, and provide clear communication to team.
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft desktop software, operating systems, and configuration.
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
