Richard F. (Rick) Dauch has served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Accuride Corporation – a leading supplier of wheel end systems to the global commercial vehicle industry – since joining in February 2011. Previously, he was President and Chief Executive Officer of Acument Global Technologies, the preeminent global fastening solutions provider with 8,500 associates worldwide supporting customers in the aerospace, automotive, heavy truck, industrial, and non-automotive transportation markets.
Dauch joined Acument following a 13-year career with American Axle and Manufacturing, Inc. (AAM), a $3.6 billion global automotive supplier of driveline, drivetrain and chassis systems based in Detroit. He was AAM’s Executive Vice President of Worldwide Manufacturing and led daily operations of 17 worldwide manufacturing locations with nearly 10,000 associates.
Dauch began his corporate career with United Technologies’ Carrier Division, leading its specialty packaged products business. This was preceded by service as an officer in the U.S. Army, beginning in 1983 and concluding with his assignment as a Light Infantry Company Commander with the 10th Mountain Division. Dauch was also qualified as an Airborne-Ranger and expert infantryman.
He is a member of the board of directors of Spartan Motors, Koch Enterprises and the Heavy Duty Manufacturers Association; and serves as Chairman of the HDMA Heavy Duty Business Forum.
Dauch earned dual Master of Science degrees in Management and Engineering from MIT and graduated from MIT’s “Leaders for Manufacturing” program. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering from the United States Military Academy at West Point.
